Animal Hospital (Anomaly) Treatments

How treatment works

1. Patient checks in and takes a room.
2. Run diagnostics: DNA analysis (~9s), then the computer prints the readout (~2s).
3. The bed screen shows one to three sicknesses.
4. Give the matching remedy from your carried items (three slots by default).
5. Patient recovers (~35s) — wrong treatment kills them and costs one of your three lives.

Remedy reference

Headache and stomach-ache pairings are conflicting across community sources: some list Headache → Herbs and Stomach ache → Medicine (the reverse of the table above). Both versions are still circulating — check the bed screen in your current build before trusting either. We are re-verifying this pair with a current-game test.

Special item uses — not patient treatment

Some items also work outside the diagnosis flow. These are event and enemy interactions, not cures — do not confuse them with the remedy chart above.

• Maple Syrup — clears the Bed Monster; also treats 'Canadian' patients (two doses if a patient is both).
• Eye Drops — neutralizes the Mass of Eyes · safe for ritual candles.
• Cough Syrup — cleans slime faster · defense against Slimebert.
• Ointment — the only remedy usable at check-in.
• Scalpel / scissors — surgery tools; other uses outside Room 8 are community-reported only.
